This movies is based on a true episode in literary history - Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky novelist of the book The Gambler. This is the story of a young woman, Anna, in desperate need of money, who takes a job as stenographer for Dostoyevsky-forty-five, epileptic, and in debt.
